Typewriter Desk
A vintage mechanical typewriter that lives in your browser.

About this tool
Typewriter Desk recreates the rhythm of a mechanical machine in a single web page. You can type on your physical keyboard or on the on-screen key deck, and the sheet keeps count of where you are with a 28-line layout and a column counter against a 46-character margin.
The deck includes a full QWERTY layout with Shift, Space and Return, so the typing experience behaves like the machine it copies. An Avro (অভ্র) toggle switches the same keyboard to Bengali input, which makes the tool useful for both English and Bangla drafts.
When a sheet is finished you can export it as a JPG, start a fresh sheet, or hide the key deck entirely and let the page read as paper. It opens straight from a link — there is no signup, no install and no account.
On the page
- On-screen typewriter keys plus support for your physical keyboard
- 28-line sheet with a live line and column indicator and margin marker
- Avro (অভ্র) mode for typing in Bengali on the same deck
- Save as JPG to keep or share the finished sheet
- New sheet action and a "hide typewriter keys" focus mode
Good to know
- Runs entirely in the browser — nothing to install and no account
- Opens instantly from a link, on desktop or tablet

Sheet and key deck
The page pairs a ruled sheet with a mechanical key deck. The sheet runs to a 28-line layout with a live line and column counter against a 46-character margin, and the deck carries a full QWERTY layout with Shift, Space and Return — switchable to Avro for Bengali input.
A diagram of the deck and sheet layout — not a screenshot. Open the tool to use the real page.
